Another warehouse is ready and raring to go for this ELM event, plus there are hints of additional surprises too.

Since taking a small break last month, the East London Movement bunch are back to bring you Ilario Alicante. Born in Italy, based in Berlin, Ilario is hailed as one of the breakthrough new talents in house and techno of the last 5 years. He started producing music at the tender age of16 but has already held residencies in his native Italy.

Ilario has since been signed to Cocoon Artists and you can catch him playing all over the world for Cocoon Heroes. Also lined up for this evening is special guest Michael L Penman from Minus 12 who will be supported by ELM residents Andrea Giudice and Mathieu Mirande

What? Hollywood costume exhibitionWhere? V&A, LondonWhen? 20^th October – 27^th January 2013

The V&A’s autumn exhibition, ‘Hollywood Costume’, explores the central role costume design plays in cinema storytelling. Bringing together over 100 of the most iconic movie costumes from across a century of film-making, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the clothes worn by unforgettable and beloved characters such as Dorothy Gale, Indiana Jones, Scarlett O’Hara, Jack Sparrow, Holly Golightly and Darth Vader.

It’s already one of our favourite bakeries in East London, but now you can take home Lily Vanilli and try your hand at making magic in the kitchen thanks to her new book.

Entitled Sweet Tooth, Lily goes into depth with the science and techniques of baking, arming you with the skills you need to develop your own recipes, as well as sharing over 100 inspirational and easy to follow recipes. Sweet Tooth is for anyone who is passionate about making sweets — from the complete beginner to the expert baker.

The Lily Vanilli Bakery is now open every Sunday 8:30am – 4pm at 6 The Courtyard, Ezra St. London E2 7RG 

What? Antidote presents Doctor DRU

When? Saturday 20^th October 

Antidote Recordings returns to Cargo with their first of three monthly parties. For this weekend’s soiree they have pulled together a stellar line-up. Headlining is Doctor Dru, one of the hottest properties in the Deep House scene at the moment.

Also on the bill is Michael L Penman, recently signed to Richie Hawtin’s Minus12 label. Michael is fast becoming one of London’s rising stars, and on past Antidote experience he will be tearing the place apart with some funky deep tech beats. All this as well as the Antidote residents DubGraffiti and Yiannis Balkizas.
